Long long long ago, God had a conference call with Himself. In that meeting, they decided to make man in their likeness, in their image. [Genesis 1:26] You know how the story goes shaa?💁🏽♀️ Curious little Miss Eve met a hissing entity. Anyone would have thought she’d run away, but madam decided to have a full-blown conversation with him/it or whatever you feel like calling it.😂 He tells her:
“God knows that your eyes will be opened when you eat. You will become just like God…” [Genesis 3:5 NLT]
If you’ve caught it, please bring your offering and let’s close right now! 😆 This is where man’s sin begun! In fact, I think this was the sin of man – believing the serpent’s version over God’s. By the time Adam and Eve’s teeth bit into the fruit, this was the testimony in their hearts:
That the serpent’s report was true, and God’s was false. That God had been a liar all this while. That God hasn’t had their best interest at heart all this while!
The implication of believing the serpent was to question the very essence of God’s person and integrity!
I cannot imagine how broken God’s heart was! He had been with Adam and Eve from scratch, and all it took was a stranger with a different version to come in and cause them to doubt everything He had ever been to them! This is what they missed: that they were already like God! That they were made in the very image and likeness of God! They were fashioned after God! Every single time you strive to provide for yourself as if God wasn’t taking care of you, to ‘feel’ sanctified, to ‘feel’ forgiven, to be accepted, here’s what you’re saying: that God lied when He called you redeemed and sanctified, when He said He had removed your sin away from you as far as the east is from the west! [Sheeesh!🥶 Think abarit! 😭]. That He lied about His faithfulness, about His mercies being renewed every day. That He lied about taking care of you and providing all that you need for this life and the one after.
His promises still stand, beloved. And I know your brain already knows this. After making awesome promises to Joshua, God told him: Do not let this depart from your mouth! Meditate on it day and night! [Joshua 1:8]. God was not giving this scared young man a ritual of some sort to cure his fear. What He was doing was to teach him how to synchronize the knowledge his brain carries with his heart! Knowing you are accepted kills the struggle of doing things you ordinarily wouldn’t do just to be accepted. It kills the voice of condemnation that rings in your head that makes you want to stop trying because you just can’t seem to get it right. And as I close the shortest sermon ever preached on #LampedFeet😂, here’s my advice:
When the hissing liar presents the lie that you have to strive to be what God has already made you to be [and he does, constantly!], you can tell him to kiss your a- – ei sorry!🤭 You can tell him to go to hell!😂 You are who God says you are, periodtt! 😉

The shortest sermon ended up being very prophetic and right on point! Sometimes God doesn’t talk much – even when He wept at a tomb, eternity captured it. Rad, this teaching blessed my heart. Knowing who we are, gets us rooted for fruit bearing. God bless you!
